manager as coach

What is a manager as coach?

One of the most important competencies that separates a manager from a highly effective manager is their ability to coach.  A coaching approach helps empower individuals and enables them to understand that the solution to most barriers lie within their own behaviours, beliefs and practices.  A manager that can coach is more likely to develop and delegate to their teams; development and delegation are proven enablers for team members to enhance their performance.

Using coaching skills positively benefits morale, generates innovation and motivation. It empowers staff and increases self-confidence - ultimately improving productivity. Through this course we bring the theory to life by sharing practical application of coaching theories into the workplace.
